A voluntary organisation based within the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, SNIP is run by a committee of parents of children/young people with additional support needs and professionals working in the field. Most of the SNIP staff have experience of parenting children/young people with additional support needs.
There are three distinct areas of our work

We can provide you with information, either for your own reference or to pass on to families, on any aspect of additional support needs, including the following
We can provide information about trust funds that might provide financial help for families for holidays, specialist equipment, conference fees, etc. If you would like to download a Funderfinder form and guidelines, please click here.
We can offer training on issues such as
SNIP representation on a number of local and national forums provides another channel for the raising of issues that concern professionals working in the field of special needs.
If you wish us to contact a family directly you can refer them to us using the referral form below. With the family’s permission, send us the completed form and we will try to contact them within five working days. There is no need for the family to have a specific enquiry as we will talk to them about their child and see how best we can help them.
