Margaret

Hi there.  I’m Margaret Barclay and I was thrilled to be offered the position of Information & Support Worker with SNIP.  I volunteered with SNIP for a year before I came to work here.

I have four children – Sara, 21, Katy, 18 and 7 year old twins Jack and Eilidh.  Jack is affected by disability, so I have a direct understanding of the emotional impact this has on families.  I am also a single parent.  I live in Dunfermline in Fife.

I sit on a Fife steering group for multi-agency working and am also part of an advisory group working towards bringing SNIP’s services into Fife.

I have completed the SNIP keyworker training course along with the Training for Trainers course, and now deliver keyworker courses in Fife.

I have completed the Certificate in Counselling Skills course at Stevenson College, and feel that the skills that I have learned on this course will be invaluable in helping me to support families.

I am delighted to be part of the SNIP team, providing emotional and practical support for parents, carers and professionals.
