Veronica

Hello - I'm Veronica, and I have worked as an Information and Support Worker for SNIP since 2003.

I was a member of SNIP for quite a number of years and have had really valuable support and information myself, and hope to be able to assist others in a similar way. 

I have four children Rachael, Michael, Stefan and Thomas.  Thomas spent the first 6 weeks of his life in hospital : he has spina bifida occulta resulting in a weaker leg and foot; he also has some behavioural problems. 

I worked in a jobcentre for the last 15 years and took a career break after I had Thomas.  I did various counselling modules during that time and completed a full-time HNC in counselling course at Telford college in June 2003, and graduated at the end of November. 

I think a combination of my own personal experience, sharing other friends and families experiences and my counselling training will prove to be very helpful in empathising with the families I will be in contact with.
